BACK TO BASICS! You are the master of the still life Michael. I think back upon I think it was an apple so many months ago. And then a tin, what? Pail? Pitcher? Odd how they sit there in my memory and what I really recall is a romantic mixture of composition, texture and palette. And here they are again. Andreas nailed it... perfect in any respect. Yep, wunnerful... wunnerfu.
BTW.. Came upon an artist of the 19th century... an illustrator who's work hang at the Brandywine Museum. His name is De Scott Evans and you can get a feeling for his stuff by Googling his name. But I've noticed that they don't reproduce really well on some sites. And his pastorals aren't as illustrative of your work as his still-lifes. Here's a small taste of some of them at http://the-athenaeum.org/art/by_artist.php?id=567 but I haven't looked farther for larger images. I think you'll really enjoy looking at Evans' take on things.

Great shot, I love the blue.. Your photography is amazing
Oh yes, that's perfect in any respect: composition, colors, light, wonderful.
